Christmas is an expensive time for everyone, but the rise in energy bills can affect your workplace too. In fact, the Carbon Trust has estimated that, on the whole, businesses lose around £9million over the Christmas holidays!
To help your business reduce its energy bills over the festive period, here are just a few energy saving tips:
- Leave nothing on standby. As everyone leaves the office on Christmas Eve, make sure that all unnecessary electrical equipment is switched off at the wall.
- Turn off all lights. Put any security lights on a timer to help save even more money.
- Use Christmas LED lights for any decorations and make sure they are switched off when the office closes.
- If the office closes over the holidays then turn the heating right down.
- Ensure all taps are off and not dripping.
