I imagine somebody out there is saying the UK is due an ‘artic winter’. If we do get one, then it could get rather interesting in the energy markets this winter.
Timing is everything when it comes to maximising your energy export income - however, devising an export strategy and selling energy ahead can be a daunting task. Let the NFU Energy team monitor the energy market for you and take action to maximise your income.
Installing a complex energy heating system can be costly if it does not stay on track. Our NFU Energy project management service will give you peace of mind knowing that you have the right expertise and skills to ensure your project runs smoothly, complies with Government incentive schemes and is completed on time and budget.
Your heating system must work well and as efficiently as possible to avoid wasting money. Our NFU Energy design engineers will ensure flow rates, pipe sizing, pump sizing and heating equipment are all designed to fit logically together and work effectively as a whole.
Avoid costly mistakes and find out if your proposed renewables project is worth it with the NFU Energy feasibility service. Get a detailed report, specific to your site and energy profile, which you can use to help secure finance for your system.

Why the change?
All about ROCs
Recently Oli and I took a trip to London to see Ofgem for a Fuelling and Sustainability workshop. The workshop was all about the Renewable Obligations Certificate (ROC) Scheme, of which my knowledge has so far been limited to solar technology.
Another blow to UK's clean energy industry
Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) recently released a consultation that announces an end to Feed-in Tariff (FiT) schemes for new large anaerobic digestion (AD) sites, and a greater reduction to small and medium scale plants.
Here are the main points from the consultation:
Two years on and I'm still here
I was pleased to celebrate my second anniversary at FEC recently.
The latest degression announcement from DECC
DECC have just announced the tariffs for the Non Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive scheme, which will be effective from 1st July 2016.
Small biomass, continuing to be hit by the degressions, will be decreasing by 10%.
